9 pounds down!

Wow this is really hard! I have lost 9 pounds so far. I am really proud of that but I am still not pleased with me. It is so hard to change. It isn't all about the calories, the exercise. It's about changing you! It's the cravings, the television, the stores, the billboards, the smells even! You can't become a hermit and never go anywhere and never watch tv. I was truly appalled at the calories I used to consume on a daily basis. The sad thing is people sometimes just have no idea. You would think a blueberry muffin might be a good choice for breakfast, right blueberries are really a good source of vitamins, antioxidants. Well nope one blueberry muffin has 500 calories! Just eat fresh blueberries, a much better choice. How about when your rushed at home and you stop at your local hamburger joint and you think , hmmmm I will get my kiddo a kids meal with 2 chicken strips, chicken should better for your child than beef right? Well the calories your feeding your child is about 700 to 800 and that isn't including the ketchup or drink. ( if its not diet ) Not to mention the fat grams and the sodium! I love those chicken strips don't get me wrong! I have eaten many! But I hope I can resist them forever and keep myself going on the right track! I just pray everyone can see what their eating problems may be and tackle them head on like I am! Wish me luck !

Dare I say, I can't wait till Monday to weigh??

I find myself looking forward to my weekly weigh in. I don't know whether or not I have reached my goal. But I do know I have tried my best. It has been cold here, the only thing I could have done more of was exercise. I do believe I have learned a few things about myself. I have figured out some of my true weaknesses. For instance, potato chips! Who knew something could bring you to tears??? LoL
Not really tears, just the thought of not having a gluttony amount of them is what I would cry about. But I think I am finally tired enough of being over weight that I can see that the way I used to eat was wrong! Way wrong! I know I still have along way to go but every second is one second closer to my goal!

What if everyone made a change?


As I stand here at the grocery store in a long line , I see why more and more people are overweight. Doritos, fried cheese sticks, doughnuts, blue bell ice cream, frosted flakes the things are endless! You know the bad thing they are 1. Either going to eat too much of it or 2. Give it to their kids. Both are bad! So what can we do? Not sure but at least I am starting with me and hopefully you will to.

Still going!

So three days down! I haven't died and it really hasn't been that hard. I have been sticking to my daily limits with the help from #loseit app. It is awesome! If your trying to lose weight, maintain or just check what your really consume this is the app to do it with. You can find it on iTunes or the android store and on www.loseit.com . I have not been giving up my sweet and salty cravings (that I am sure would be impossible anyway! lol ) so I have found the 130 calorie packs called #SnackWell's fudge drizzled caramel popcorn. OMG delicious! Good thing the come pre proportioned or this would no longer be a weight loss blog!! I just wanted to share a couple of things that are helpings so far!

One day down, not sure how many more to go???

I say not sure how many more with lots of anticipation! It doesn't matter to me how many more it is. I am one day closer to my goal. It will be long road, but it has been a long road of being overweight not feeling good and all the horrible things that comes with being (yes I dare say it) FAT! Everyone always try to sugar coat everything but when you get right to it over weight people are fat. Unless you are sick and taking some kind of medication that makes you overweight. But for the rest of us that don't have that excuse we did this to ourselves! I know what I did, sit on the couch eating donuts, peanut butter sandwiches, potato chips, and going out to eat. The good thing is I realize mine, do you realize yours? Because if you don't realize how you got this way then it probably isn't going to help you change. But if you do a deep search like I did then we can do this! I am so excited for this journey and to see the end results!
